An appeal for help

The picture above shows one of the newest additions to Woodland Nook. It’s a VERY tiny tabby kitten which was found, with its sibling, dumped in a field to fend for themselves. Without help they would surely have died but luckily they were brought to the shelter.

However, these little babies are still only about THREE weeks old and far too young to be away from their mother. To put it in perspective, the cat on the left is about nine weeks old, so you can see just how tiny this little tabby really is.

The two new kittens are also suffering from diarrhoea and are now on a special food supplement which is quite expensive. It is called Fortiflora and you can buy it over the counter from veterinary practices, Manor Pharmacy and Amazon. As the kittens may need this medication for some time, it would be an enormous help if anyone could donate some Fortiflora to the shelter.

Alternatively, you can donate money through our Paypal account or by sending direct to Yorkshire Bank:

Thank you so much!
