It's always lovely to hear how the Woodland Nook cats are getting along in their new homes. This story comes from Allison Howlett, who tells us how she came to adopt Gus... now called Harry:
After a holiday in Crete last October, we all fell in love with a tiny ginger stray kitten, which we fed and named Joey.
The day before we were due to fly home, my Mum decided she could not live without little Joey so it was a last-minute panic to arrange for him to go to the cattery and to arrange to bring him home to us in the UK.
It was just before Christmas when we visited Jane at Woodland Nook to collect Joey. He was so excited to see us and remembered us all!
While we were there I fell in love with a male tabby called Gus. He jumped into my arms and my heart melted so, to cut a long story short, we ended up with two of the three cats which had travelled over from Crete.
I changed Gus’ name to Harry and he has settled so well into my home with his older brother and sister. I have never known a cat so full of love and with us it’s a true love affair. I adore him.
I am so grateful to have him and send my forever thanks to all who looked after him and helped to bring him to the UK.
